Corfu. One of Greece's most popular island destinations...and for good reason. Corfu is a blend of ancient Greek history, modern Greek culture, medieval Italian architecture, rare and exotic natural beauty, almost tropical beaches, and some of the finest weather that you could hope for. The breathtaking diverse natural landscape has been preserved extremely well; In many cases allowing the lush vegetation to reach the numerous turquoise-water beaches, while the forgotten-by-time villages gaze down from the mountainous terrain above. Culturally, you will struggle to find a more interesting place, since Corfu's history dates back to Homer and classical Greece, and is filled with exploit all through the ages. Historical remnants ranging from wonderfully preserved archaeological sites and museums with artifacts from the 1.300's B.C., to the magnificent old Venetian city and its forts, will take you on a unique historical journey.
These charming beach homes are part of a unique holiday-home complex which is situated a few meters from the magnificent one kilometer-long exotic Barbati beach. As lots of the architecture in Corfu, this complex was created to blend in with the landscape, encompassing the local vegetation of olive trees, bougainvillea flowers, jasmine etc, and thus creating a stunning eden-like garden through which stone-paved walkways lead you straight to the beach. Behind the complex, you will find a small market, and plenty of traditional taverns, all a few minutes walk from your gate. These homes are owned and maintained by one of the architects who built the complex itself, and you will surely find them as welcoming and charismatic on the inside, as the outside.
You have a variety of homes to choose from, mixing and matching as you like. There are two main buildings. Each building encompasses a larger, main home, and two apartments. These apartments, like the larger homes, are completely autonomous and self-sufficient with their own private entrace, kitchen, bathroom etc. You may choose to rent the homes seperately from their adjoining apartments, or as a whole. The apartments also may be rented out separately. You may choose to rent one home, its adjoing apartments, plus a third apartment from the second building if you like. No restrictions, it is up to you. Both homes plus the 4 apartments accomodate 26 people total. The larger home, which is the tallest building of the entire complex giving it an amazing panoramic view, accomodates 6 people. The smaller home, with two wonderful verandas, sleeps 4 people, and each autonomous apartment welcomes 4 people as well.
Ideal for large groups, families with children of any age from toddlers to teenagers -wanting their privacy in their own apartment-, these delightful and inviting homes provide an extremely versatile option for a vacation in one of the most gorgeous locations, on the one of the most remarkable islands of Greece. |
