Cape Sounion, is one of Greece's most renowned locations, due to its unique landscape with multiple peninsulas housing long golden beaches, and of course its connection to ancient Greece. Sounion is home to the ruins of the renowned ancient Greek temple of Poseidon, the god of the sea in classical mythology. Its remains are perched on a cliff, surrounded on three sides by the sea. According to legend, Cape Sounion is the spot where Aegeus, king of Athens, leapt off the cliff, thus giving his name to the Aegean Sea.

''Villa Hera'', named after the ancient Olympian Goddess, is located a few hundred meters from the temple of Poseidon, and coupled with the twinkling Aegean sea beneath, constitute a truly amazing panoramic view from this marvelously located estate. The surrounding area can be described as a huge archaeological site brimming with history and natural splendor. Rare, treasured temples, monuments, and one of the oldest theaters in the world can be found in the vicinity. Even the city of Athens with its Acropolis is situated less than 70 kilometers away. As if this was not enough, Sounion boasts one of the finest natural coast lines of the mainland, filled with sandy beaches of exceptional beauty, all minutes away from the estate.

The villa itself owned and built by Greek architects, is a rare combination of elegant style and warm atmosphere. The indoors are comprised of 3 floors, each with its own living room, 6 bedrooms, 2 fully equipped kitchens, and 4 bathrooms. These large, comfortable living areas provide ample space and accommodation for large groups, and especially families with children. Throughout the home, wide windows allow the sunlight to pour in, delightfully illuminating the home, and well-placed balconies from which the amazing panoramic view can be appreciated are real treat.

Stepping outside, the villa further extends its invitation with wide patios and dinning areas, leading up to the large swimming pool, all overlooking the sparkling Aegean. Almost surrounding the estate is a wonderful private garden complete with a stone barbeque/gazebo, all coming together to create an astonishing blend of beauty, comfort and style, whose enticement is hard to refuse by anyone, and especially children who will surely appreciate the innumerable playing areas more than all.

This elegant, yet so welcoming villa, combined with a view of the sunset melting into the Aegean Sea, numerous sandy beaches begging for a dip, and ancient relics of unique interest at close proximity, join to create the potential for a perfect vacation.
